Paul Alonge is an Architect and Artist, currently based in Brooklyn, NY.

Currently, Paul is a Project Manager within the Interiors practice of HOK’s New York studio, where he is excited to continue the natural evolution of his career by expanding and honing his PM skillset. Since the beginning of his architectural journey, Paul has always taken immense pride in delivering projects successfully on time, within budget and aligned with the design intent. As a PM, Paul looks forward to furthering this responsibility alongside new sets of collaborators towards new and exciting projects.

Previously, Paul was an Associate for STUDIOS Architecture, located in SoHo, where he led a wide variety of projects from concept to completion, bringing an extraordinary level of craft to each project. Over the 8 years that Paul spent at Studios, he had the privilege and pleasure of collaborating with amazing people on world class projects. His professional portfolio showcases his versatility as a creative and is a testament to his ability to simultaneously wear multiple hats in varying settings with ranging groups. Two projects that illustrate Paul’s contributions to his field are the major repositioning works at 28 E 28th St and 295 5th Ave. Additionally, Paul led various projects within an amusement park project, which ranged from new ride attractions while rehabilitating the historical fabric of the park.

Paul is also passionate about sustainability; specifically material health. Paul spearheaded a program throughout Studios, entitled Material Mindset Mondays, which has been a catalyst for raising the awareness on the importance of improving their approach to material selection, while providing them with strategies and tools for implementing this into their practice. This program has highlighted the intersection between human health & equity, ecosystem health, climate health and a circular economy. Through the collaborative nature of architecture, Paul is motivated to celebrate diversity by creating heightened senses of community with healthier materials that were created ethically and sustainably.

Paul also channels this energy towards his artistic practice by seeking out collaborations with family members, friends and other like-minded individuals and groups. By creating album covers for his friends while creative directing their projects, commissioning and gifting artworks, and exhibiting his artworks in galleries, Paul has found immense gratification seeing his art resonate with others. Paul has been striving to positively impact others through his artwork and architectural projects. By showcasing his journey as a creator, he’s aspiring to inspire others to be great at whatever they choose to do.
